JIN strengthens its Public Affairs practice with the recruitment of Guilhaume Jean

Published on 19/06/2023

PARIS, June 14, 2023 – JIN, a European corporate communications consulting agency specializing in digital influence and public relations, announces the expansion of its Public Affairs practice in France and internationally with the recruitment of Guilhaume Jean. In an agency with a strong political culture, the aim is to deploy modern Public Affairs and Corporate Influence campaigns with a data-driven approach.

Guilhaume Jean (31 years old), a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne / ENS Ulm, joins the agency as a Senior Consultant in charge of the Public Affairs practice. He will bring his expertise in building influence strategies and supporting executives in their strategic communication to JIN. Previously, Guilhaume advised political leaders in Parliament as a parliamentary collaborator, served as a political advisor to the Mayor of the 5th arrondissement of Paris, and participated in national election campaigns.

He has also supported business leaders in their public relations and communications efforts within think tanks, companies (Public Affairs Department of the Groupe ADP), and specialized communications and public relations consulting firms for executives (CLAI and WEMEAN, where he was responsible for creating and managing the Public Affairs offering). He is also a Lecturer at the School of Public Affairs at Sciences Po Paris, a board member of Sciences Po Alumni, and a former President of the Association of Young Lobbyists.

Already a leader in corporate communication, digital influence, and public relations, JIN continues to expand its range of services by developing expertise in Public Affairs and strategic communication for executives with this recruitment. The agency aims to advocate a vision of public affairs that combines lobbying and corporate communication, leveraging a data-driven approach through its technological tools for analyzing online communities and monitoring weak signals, providing tailored advice. By harnessing technology for strategy and integrating Public Affairs with influence communication, JIN enables its clients to better defend their interests and institutional reputation with public authorities, including by anticipating shifts in public opinion, analyzing political agenda trends, and improving interactions with public officials. To achieve this, JIN can leverage the digital expertise of its brand "Opinion Act" (a pioneer in online monitoring and reputation studies, which joined JIN in 2022) in the analysis of online communities, digital activations, and institutional and corporate monitoring.

With several upcoming consultant recruitments, the newly led Public Affairs practice by Guilhaume Jean is an integral part of the Corporate division (25 consultants) supervised by Augustin Leclerc, the agency's Managing Director. Together, they will also be responsible for enhancing the expertise in executive support, advising leaders in their areas of expression, public speaking, and networks, both online and offline, for major companies in the CAC 40 and SBF 120.

"As our society becomes increasingly fragmented, and public discourse becomes more contentious, companies have a vested interest in rebuilding trust with public authorities by playing a true 'mediating' role between everyday realities and political decision-makers. This is the ambition we share with the arrival of Guilhaume, leveraging his expertise in public affairs alongside JIN's corporate and digital know-how," says Edouard Fillias, CEO of JIN.

"Digital has become an essential lever for any institutional and corporate influence strategy. As elected officials become increasingly 'digitally active' and influence with public authorities becomes multi-channel and decentralized, I am convinced of the striking power of JIN, thanks to the combination of its corporate expertise and the digital leadership of its teams. By combining political and technological intelligence, we can provide tailored advice to organizations and leaders in defending their interests and reputations, enhancing our ability to listen to public opinion, analyze online communities, and engage with political decision-makers at the national and local levels," says Guilhaume Jean.
